It is rightly said that education is an instrument of emancipation of people from the obscure and it helps initiate the process of socio-economic transformation. In this process, Rama Chandra Mardaraj Science College has pioneered to withstand the tests of time and situations to cater to this noble work since long. As an eminent higher education institution of southern Odisha, has relentlessly worked, not only for the educational development in the locality but at the same time, untiringly guided and nurtured values through many of its socially and economically viable outreach programmes in the adjacent villages. The institute is highly recognised for its talented pool of faculty members, unmatched classroom ambience, enviable sports and recreation facilities, cutting edge scientific instruments and modern laboratory setups, where students will love to spend time in doing scientific experiments. Moreso, the geographical location of the college creates illusion of an ancient ‘gurukula’. Located in the foothills of two mountains, in the lap of serene beauty of lush green nature, amongst the lustrous temples and ancient monuments of Khallikote and overlooking the dazzling beauty of Chilika Lake, this institute of higher learning creates conducive atmosphere for learning.

R.C.M. Science College offers intermediate and undergraduate courses in Arts, Science & Commerce streams and two post graduation courses in Chemistry and Odia. The college is reasonably positioned in the quality scale as accredited by the NAAC and very soon going to face another cycle of NAAC visit. Acknowledging the work of my prodigious team members, effective cooperation and guidance received from our mentors and GB members in our continuous efforts to shape and nurture the name and fame of this historic institute of par excellence, I welcome you all!
